- to regulting your temperature
- as means for nutrients to travel through your body
- to transport oxygen around our body
- to remove waste from your body
- to protect your joints and organs
- to think, sleep, eat, breath and live.
Basically without any water we die...but most of us know that, our body tells us that. What we need to learn is that without enough water we cant think properly, organise our lives and juggle our tasks. We cant digest our food properly and we need to be able to get the most from everything that goes in our mouths. We cant regulate our hormones properly so we dont sleep soundly, have issues with our moods and enjoying our lives. Our bodies cannot effectively remove TOXINS from our body. So increasing water intake could only be a good thing. The best way to work out how much water you should be consuming is...take your weight in kilos and convert it to pounds...so I weigh 69 Kg that in pounds is 151.8, half it (75.9) and this is how many ounces of water you should drink per day...you can convert ounces to litres with a calculator on the web or use this conversion (1 ounce = 0.02957352953125 Liters) therfore I should consume roughly 2.25 litres of water a day. If you exercise or drink alcohol etc you need to consume more.
I struggled this week a little, generally crashing at about 3-4 pm and having some lollies...I hope having more water will help curve the yuckness in the afternoon.
The next task will be no snacking...goodbye lollies. No snacking is not entirely true...I can eat nuts, vegetables, fruit, dips and with veggies or low cal biscuit or wraps...oh no!!!!!
